We all do them. We all screw them up. I’m OK with the lighting, the setting and such. I hate the way I look and the fact that we are all in the same plane. One of the diffucult things about taking a self familly portrait is the fact that you can’t see what you are getting at the moment of the exposure. Yes, you may say it was that way when we shot film, but I mean something different. Had I been behind the camera, I would have caught my up tight pose and made me laugh. I also would have caught the fact that we were all at the same level.

Heck, we live and we learn.

This was shot with a 430EX Speedlite shot into an umbrella to the camera’s right. The camera was the Canon 5D with the Canon 70-200/2.8L IS.
