I think I will call it……
I don’t normally shoot animals, but this little bugger was posing. It seems to live in our yard this summer. I’ve seen it multiple times. This morning, I open the front door and it was sitting a few yards away. It did not run. Guess it figured I was no threat. So I grabbed a camera and slapped a lens on. It was still there. Fired off a few pictures, got closer and fired a few more. We hung out a bit and then I think I bored it. It left. I’m surprised the kids have not named it yet. I think I will call it George.
Any better suggestions?
This was shot with a Canon 30D and a Canon 70-200/2.8L IS. The camera was set to AE with an aperture of 2.8 and autofocus on. Upon close observation, you can see that the rabbit is not in sharp focus. The AF system caught the grass in the front. This is a common mistake for me. When using a wide aperture, you should always focus manually.
